“Into the Water” is a psychological thriller by Paula Hawkins, the author of “The Girl on the Train”. The story revolves around a series of mysterious deaths in a small, insular town, particularly the death of a single mother who is found at the bottom of a river known as the “Drowning Pool”. This event, along with the earlier death of a teenage girl at the same location, forces the town to confront its hidden secrets and the dark history of the river and its inhabitants. The narrative is told through multiple perspectives, including the victim’s estranged sister and her niece, which adds to the suspense and intrigue
